Inventory that can explain itself
FaciCost does not treat stock as a number you overwrite. Every change is a movement with a reason, a location, and a person.
Purchases increase stock only when they are received. Waste, sales, transfers, and count variances each write to the ledger. That is how you answer “where did this go?” without accusing anyone from a dashboard widget.
Waste and counts are recorded on the same ledger as purchases and sales. Large gaps between what recipes theoretically used and what left the shelf are something to investigate — portioning, missing waste, or a counting error — in plain language.
